The Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council has acquired two 3.5-ton vehicles to provide medical services in close proximity to women and young children.
Although similar in design, these medical units, which can be driven with just a category ‘B’ licence, are adapted to different missions, offering an optimum service to families and health professionals.
Two mobile clinics with an ergonomic, optimised design
Mobile unit for child protection
Medical secretariat and childcare consultation
- A welcoming area with all the equipment needed by the paediatric nurse for an initial consultation: changing mat, baby scale, water point...
- A desk for discussion with the child's parent(s)
Paediatrician's consulting room
- From the medical secretariat, the paediatrician's practice includes an examination couch, functional storage and a desk for receiving patients.
Mobile unit for maternal protection
Medical secretariat
- Accessible from behind the vehicle, this first area includes a desk
- A sampling chair is also present to facilitate consultation.
Gynaecology practice
- A soundproof sliding door provides access to the gynaecology practice from the medical secretariat
- This area includes a bench with a water point, a gynaecology chair and a desk for the doctor
The two mobile clinics are equipped with an air renewal system and reversible air conditioning to ensure the optimum temperature for everyone's comfort.
They also have a small, soundproof generator, enabling them to be self-sufficient when it is not possible to connect to a power distribution terminal or a building.
These two mobile medical units embody the commitment to family health. Designed for well-being, these vehicles criss-cross the roads to offer high-quality local consultations.
