
Following the first delivery of a mobile medical unit, the French Red Cross wanted to strengthen its health services by acquiring a bus to meet the growing needs in terms of reception and hygiene in the communes of Guadeloupe.
This mobile reception/health unit is aimed at reaching out to the homeless to provide them with free services adapted to their needs (guidance, help and assistance, food and clothing needs, prevention, screening...).
A mobile office split into two ergonomic and functional areas
Social area
Designed to create a connection, establish confidence and initiate discussions, this reception area is the first point of contact with the most isolated people. A genuine space for sharing, solidarity and listening, this room is intended to be comforting and pleasant, inviting people to confide in us so that then they can be accompanied and guided according to their needs.
Accessible through a side door via a staircase fitted with a handrail to make it easier for people to get in and out, this ‘talks’ area incorporates a number of facilities:

Sanitary area
Conceived to offer a hygiene solution in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, this sanitary mobile unit provides a little comfort, boosting the self-esteem of people in extremely precarious situations.

This reception/sanitary mobile unit is intended to be a place where people can live, talk and receive support, with essential services for the most needy. The French Red Cross is taking the first step with this mobile unit, getting as close as possible to those in need.
